About the Role

The Circle Head? NRI is a senior leadership role within the Retail Banking division, responsible for NR Business development business for the region which includes driving New-to-Bank (NTB), NRI customer acquisition and cross selling of revenue products across the region through multiple channels, including branches and dedicated NRI frontline officers (Relationship Managers and Acquisition RM-NRI). The role involves close collaboration with product and operations teams to ensure effective customer acquisition, servicing, and relationship deepening. With full P&L ownership, the role contributes significantly to the strategic objectives of the branch banking channel.


Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of NRI Relationship Managers (RMs) and Acquisition RM-NRI across the zone.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop NRI RMs and Acq RM NRIs, including tracking KRAs and productivity metrics.
  • Drive customer acquisition and engagement across key NRI segments such as seafarers, NR associations, corporate salary accounts, chartered accountants, and offshore/local NRI communities.
  • Promote referrals to the BOC (Branch Outside Country) channel for customers residing abroad.
  • Build NRI CASA (Current Account/Savings Account) balances, enhance FX remittance volumes, and increase product penetration among existing customers.
  • Ensure consistent product and process training for NRI frontline teams and branch staff across the region.
  • Maintain high standards of sourcing quality, FTNR (First Time Not Right) rates, and KYC compliance.
  • Manage customer-centric operations and ensure service delivery meets defined quality norms.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and refine growth strategies based on competitor analysis and feedback from various channels and customers.
  • Facilitate a customer-centric branch channel and work towards achieving or exceeding Net Promoter Score (NPS) targets.
  • Monitor and support branch network expansion in alignment with the defined business plan.
Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities
  • Attract and retain top-tier talent for key roles within the reporting structure.
  • Monitor employee productivity, hiring quality, and attrition rates, and implement necessary improvements.
  • Enable teams to achieve growth targets by providing strategic direction and operational support.

What We Are Looking For

Education
  • Graduation: Any discipline (Full-Time)
  • Postgraduation: MBA / PGDM (Preferred)
Experience
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in branch banking
Skills and Attributes
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities
  • Strong understanding of NRI banking products, customer behaviour, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., FEMA)
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to drive performance through structured planning and execution
